Yumurtalık Çamlık Nature Park
About & Visitor Guide
History and General Information / Local Legends and Folklore Yumurtalık Çamlık Nature Park is a rare, registered natural paradise on the Çukurova coast, where the salty sea waves of the Mediterranean embrace the Aleppo pine and red pine forests. According to local accounts, this centuries-old pine grove is a blessed green cape where sailors in ancient times came ashore, took a breather in the pine shadows, and replenished their ships with fresh water resources. The park, which is protected by Nature Conservation and National Parks, is the number one choice for families and campers who want to breathe the sea and forest air at the same time. Geographical Structure, Altitude and Natural Features It is located in a 30-decare coastal grove just on the west coast of Yumurtalık district center. Its altitude is 5 meters. The dominant tree species are Aleppo pine (Pinus halepensis) and red pine; Myrtle, laurel and oleander grow on the forest floor. Pine scents combine with the sea breeze.
