Haylazlı beach, located in the eastern extension of Yumurtalık Lagoons National Park, is one of the most pristine and untouched beaches of the Çukurova coast. This beach, which has been the spawning ground of caretta caretta and green sea turtles for centuries, is also a rest stop for migratory birds. It is said in the region that turtles have been coming to this beach for generations to lay their eggs under the light of the full moon, and that the beach is a sacred nature shelter.
