Historical Keleş Mansion Culture House

History and General Information / Local Legends and Folklore Keleş Mansion, the most elegant example of Adıyaman traditional civil architecture that has survived to the present day, was built with cut limestone and wooden frame technique in the late 19th century. The large courtyard of the two-storey building, its stone-ornamented iwan and wooden ceiling carvings reflect the nobility of the old Adıyaman mansion life. It is said in the region that wise people gathered in this mansion organized religious nights and passed on Adıyaman folk songs and folk stories to future generations. Geographical Structure, Altitude and Natural Features The altitude is approximately 670 meters.
