Akyurt District Martyrdom was raised in the district center in order to keep alive the cherished memories of our heroic martyrs from Akyurt who sacrificed their lives in defense of the homeland, in Çanakkale, in the War of Independence and in the fight against terrorism. It represents the spiritual memory and spirit of independence of the district with the marble graves of our martyrs, the crescent-star monument base and the inscriptions written in gold letters. This sacred place, which is the symbol of the loyalty and national consciousness of the people of Akyurt, is a spiritual hearth visited by every generation with love and respect for the homeland. Geographical Structure, Altitude and Natural Features
The altitude is 970 meters. It is located on the eastern slope of Çubuk Plain, on a peaceful and well-kept elevation surrounded by pine and cypress trees. Visiting Hours, Days and Entrance Fees
•Entrance Fee:It is a national monument area open to the public and entrance is completely free.•Visiting Hours and Days:It is open to visitors 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.•Rules, Safety and Stroller/Disabled Access: Spiritual respect and tranquility must be maintained at the Martyrs' Memorial site. It is 100% suitable for baby strollers and wheelchairs, with its paved paths and ramps.•Facilities and Facilities:Ceremony area, benches, flag raising and lighting are available. Spiritual Visiting Etiquette and Commemoration Guidelines•Spiritual Visit and Prayer Etiquette: Fatiha and prayers should be recited for the souls of our beloved martyrs who died for the sake of the country, and decency and dignity should be maintained.•Documentary & Respectful Shooting:Martyr gravestones and our flag can be photographed as a documentary in a respectful manner.•Important Commemoration Days:Official wreath-laying and commemoration ceremonies are held on 18 March Martyrs' Memorial Day, 30 August Victory Day and 15 July Democracy Day.•Local Spiritual Tradition:It is a local tradition of loyalty to visit the martyrs' cemetery and distribute lokma and halva on Fridays and holy nights.
