Elmadağ Martyrs' Monument and Park was built in the heart of the district to keep alive the cherished memory of the heroic martyrs of Elmadağ who sacrificed their lives for the independence of the homeland and the peace of the nation. The names of the sons of the country who drank the sherbet of martyrdom from Çanakkale to the War of Independence and today's anti-terrorism operations are kept alive forever in brass and marble inscriptions. The torch and flag reliefs on the base of the monument symbolize the immortal spirit of the martyrs and the unshakable sense of loyalty of the nation. The altitude is 1,130 meters. It is located in a spacious park campus surrounded by pine and ornamental trees, at the entrance of Elmadağ district center. Visiting Hours, Days and Entrance Fees
•Entrance Fee:It is a Martyrs' Memorial and Memorial Park area and entrance is completely free.•Visiting Hours and Days:It is open to public visits and prayers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.•Rules, Safety and Stroller/Disabled Access: Moral decency and respect should be maintained in the area and noise should be avoided. The roads within the park are flat and fully accessible by strollers and wheelchairs.•Facilities and Facilities:Martyrs' monument, marble inscriptions, memorial square, seating benches and lighting are available. Spiritual Visiting Etiquette and Commemoration Guidelines•Spiritual Visit and Prayer Etiquette: Fatihas and prayers should be recited for the souls of our beloved martyrs in front of the monument, and a moment of silence should be performed with dignity.•Documentary & Respectful Shooting:Seriousness should be maintained in commemorative shootings, martyr inscriptions should be documented with a dignified frame, avoiding pomp and cheerful poses.•Important Commemoration Days:You can attend district commemoration ceremonies held on 18 March Martyrs' Memorial Day and 15 July Democracy and National Unity Day.•Local Spiritual Tradition:On commemoration days and holy nights, halva and sherbet are offered to the souls of our martyrs by philanthropists from Elmadağ.
