About & Visitor Guide

The square, whose historical name is 'Eskere', symbolizes the development of Gündoğmuş during the republican period, and was enriched with a modern city park by landscaping by Gündoğmuş Municipality. The Atatürk Monument and the Taurus Mountains viewing terrace in the square reflect the city's spirit of independence and mountain Yoruk identity. The square, where local people meet for weddings, holidays and national celebrations, is the living heart of the district. Geographical Structure, Altitude and Natural Features The square is located in a terraced position on the mountain slope, at an altitude of approximately 870 meters above the sea. When you look up from the square, you see the majestic limestone cliffs and the silhouette of the Geyik Mountains reaching into the sky.
