Historical Bülbülan Plateau and Nature Trail History and General Information / Local Legends and Folklore

  • •Bülbülan Plateau, located at the summit where the Eastern Black Sea mountains and the Eastern Anatolian plateau meet, has been the ancient caravan and fairground stopping place of nomadic plateauers, lovers and merchants for centuries.
  • •According to local legends, it is said that the plateau got its name from the singing of nightingales feeding on wild flowers of many colors and that the water of the plateau bestows youth and vitality.
