Historical Imam Abdullah Tomb and Lodge History and General Information / Local Legends and Folklore

  • •Hz. Prophet's uncle, Hz. It is rumored that Imam Abdullah, the son of Cafer-i Tayyar, was martyred during the conquest of Hasankeyf (638 AD) and was buried on this sacred hill.
  • •The zawiya, which was rebuilt by Sultan Suleiman in the 14th century during the Artuqid period and then during the Ayyubid period, is the most revered spiritual place in Hasankeyf.
