Karakılçık variety, grown in terrace pools fed by the melted snow water of the Köroğlu Mountains, is a small-grained, reddish rice with a high rate of water absorption while cooking and is very delicious.
History: 300-year-old historical paddy rice heritage, which was especially preferred by the palace cooks of Bolu Mengen in the sultan's pilafs.
Production Method: Fed by cold mountain waters; Chemical fertilizer is kept to a minimum and the husk is removed in stone mills.
