History and General Information / Local Legends and Folklore The Chestnut Garden, the most popular link of the Bağcılar Nostalgia Gardens project, is a thematic green area project that takes its name from the historical "Yeşilbağ" (Çıfıtburgaz) district, which was famous for its vineyards and orchards in the past. It was established with the aim of revitalizing the garden and grove culture of old Istanbul within the dense urban texture. Architectural / Natural Structure Field; It consists of a centuries-old chestnut tree nursery, traditional serenders built with wooden Black Sea architecture, a water mill, mini streams, walking paths and picnic pavilions. Stone ovens and wooden village mansions keep traditional rural architecture alive in the park where chestnut scents spread.
