Elmasburnu Nature Park and Beach (Riva)
About & Visitor Guide
History and General Information / Local Legends and Folklore Riva Elmasburnu, one of the most untouched natural paradises on the Black Sea coast of Istanbul, takes its name from the diamond-shaped sharp cape rocks that have been carved over thousands of years by the rough waves of the Black Sea. This rich coastal ecosystem of 13 hectares, which was declared a Nature Park in 2011, has been transformed into a modern nature and beach park with the nature-friendly landscaping of Beykoz Municipality. The area, where the cool waters of the Black Sea and pine forests embrace, has sheltered bays that also serve as women's beaches on certain days of the week.
