Historic Saint Antoine Catholic Church (1902)

History and General Information / Local Legends and Folklore The Historical Saint Antoine Catholic Church, built in 1902 by French Capuchin priests for the Levantine, Italian and French community living in Bayraklı, is a living monument to the multicultural Mediterranean heritage of the district. It is the protected historical Christian heritage of the city with its façade built of cut stone, pointed arched neogothic windows, high ceiling wooden vaults, bell tower and peaceful garden decorated with centuries-old palm trees. Geographical Structure, Altitude and Natural Features It is located in the historical garden in the central district of Bayraklı, at an altitude of approximately 15 meters above sea level.
