Narlıdere Martyrdom, which is the eternal resting place of our heroic soldiers and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence of Izmir and the homeland in the War of Independence, is the highest monument of spiritual loyalty in the district. It keeps the spirit of independence of our nation alive with its marble monument columns shaded by pine and cypress trees, monumental tombs with crescent and stars, and inscriptions immortalizing the love of the homeland. It is located in a pine grove on the ridge of Çatalkaya District, at an altitude of approximately 50 meters above sea level. Visiting Hours, Days and Entrance Fees
•Entrance Fee:Visiting the Martyrs' Cemetery is completely free.•Visiting Hours and Days:It is open to visitors 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.•Rules, Security and Stroller/Disabled Access: Complete silence, dignity and respect are essential at the Martyrs' Memorial site; There is a ramp entrance.•Facilities and Facilities:Marble monument, martyrs' graves, benches and environmental lighting. Spiritual Visiting Etiquette and Commemoration Guidelines•Spiritual Visit and Prayer Etiquette: Fatiha and prayers should be read in silence in respect for the souls of our beloved martyrs who died for the sake of the country.•Documentary & Respectful Shooting:The marble crescent-star monument should be documented with dignity; Disrespectful behavior should be avoided.•Important Commemoration Days:Official ceremonies are held on 18 March Çanakkale Victory, 30 August and 9 September Liberation of Izmir.•Local Spiritual Tradition:Visitors leave red roses and carnations at the cemeteries.
