Karabük Garrison Martyrdom is the eternal resting place of our beloved martyrs from Karabük who sacrificed their lives in defense of the homeland, Gallipoli Battles, War of Independence, Korea, Cyprus Peace Operation and the fight against terrorism. The monument rising in the 5000 Houses Cemetery represents the unshakable loyalty of the iron and steel city Karabük to the sons of the country, with its marble base and waving glorious crescent and star flag. Among the people of Karabük, it is remembered with respect and gratitude that the children of the laborers who built the first heavy industry factories of the Republic with their sweat, sacrificed their lives on the front lines with the same faith in the defense of the homeland. Geographical Structure, Altitude and Natural Features
It is located in the west of Karabük city center, in the 5000 Evler area, at an altitude of approximately 380 meters on the hill overlooking the Vehicle Stream valley. Surrounded by pine and cypress groves, the area has a clean Western Black Sea forest air and a peaceful spiritual climate. Visiting Hours, Days and Entrance Fees
•Entrance Fee:Visiting the martyrs' cemetery is completely free.•Visiting Hours and Days (Mandatory): It is open to visitors 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.•Rules, Safety and Stroller/Disabled Access: Spiritual decorum, silence and reverence must be maintained at the Martyrs' Memorial site. It is fully wheelchair and stroller accessible thanks to smooth marble paths and ramps.•Facilities and Facilities:Martyrdom memorial ceremony base, flag poles, fountain, seating benches and cemetery mosque are available. Transportation, Public Transit Routes and Exact Location•Address / Open Location:5000 Evler Mahallesi, Şehitlik Caddesi No:10, Merkez / Karabük.•Road Condition and Vehicle Availability: It is approximately 3 km away from Karabük Governorship and City Square; It can be easily reached by passenger vehicles via the divided asphalt road within the city.•Real Public Transportation Information (Mandatory): 5000 Evler public buses and public minibuses departing from the city square stop in front of the Martyrs' Memorial.•Parking Availability:There is free outdoor parking for approximately 40 vehicles at the entrance of the Martyrs' Cemetery. Spiritual Visiting Etiquette and Commemoration Guidelines•Spiritual Visit and Prayer Etiquette: Visitors should stand at the graves of martyrs with decorum; Surahs Fatiha, Yasin and Ihlas should be read to the souls of our martyrs who died for the survival of the country.•Documentary & Respectful Shooting:The glorious verses and martyrs' tags on the tombstones should be documented with dignity; Casual selfies should be avoided.•Important Commemoration Days:Mawlid is performed with the participation of the provincial protocol and citizens on 18 March, Martyrs' Memorial Day, 3 April, the Establishment of Karabük and on the eve of religious holidays.•Local Spiritual Tradition:During the visits, traditional halva, Turkish delight and tea are offered and prayers are sent to the holy souls of our martyrs.
