Ballıdağ Nature Park and Historical Sanatorium Campus (1570 m)

History and General Information / Local Legends and Folklore Ballıdağ, registered as the air corridor with the second highest oxygen density in the world after the Swiss Alps, is a healing temple covered with Scots pine, fir and beech forests at an altitude of 1570 meters. The historical Ballıdağ Chest Diseases Sanatorium, opened in 1954 by the then president Celal Bayar, is Turkey's most valuable health and eco-tourism region with its forest ponds, ice-cold springs and microclimate air. Geographical Structure, Altitude and Natural Features It is located in the pine and fir forest belt on the Ballıdağ summit plateau, at an altitude of approximately 1570 meters above sea level.
