Sorkun Village Historical Mosque is a masterpiece of wooden architecture built completely without nails with the traditional bell technique during the 18th century Ottoman period. It keeps the religious architectural heritage of the region alive with the strength of its wooden frame, hand-carved pulpit, wooden women's gallery and ceiling decorations decorated with root paints. It is said among the local people that the wood of the mosque has remained intact for hundreds of years without any insects and that the masters placed the planks with prayers.
