Kuştepe Recreation Area and Observation Park (Çayırova)

History and General Information / Local Legends and Folklore Kuştepe Recreation Area is a popular recreation center located on the highest hill of Çayırova and revealing the entire panorama of the district along with the Marmara Sea. The hill, which was brought to the district as a green area project by Çayırova Municipality, was named 'Kuştepe' because it has been a natural stop where migratory birds have rested on the route from Marmara to Anatolia for centuries. It is an oasis of relaxation where residents of the district can breathe as a family under the sky painted red at sunset. Geographical Structure, Altitude and Natural Features Located at an altitude of 165 meters, the hill overlooks the coastline of Çayırova, Gebze and Tuzla.
