Gülbiş Recreation Area and Tigris Valley Observation Park

History and General Information / Local Legends and Folklore Gülbiş Recreation Area is the most established recreation area where the people of Dargeçit have been going for generations to cool off and meet nature in the spring and summer months. The recreation area is located on high slopes overlooking the Tigris River valley; It is a natural oasis adorned with lush water springs, grand plane and walnut trees. In local narratives, the clarity of Gülbiş water and the nightingale sounds echoing in the valley have been the subject of folk songs. Geographical Structure, Altitude and Natural Features Its altitude is 710 meters. It is located on the northern slope of the Tigris canyon, in a valley with plenty of oxygen and cool breezes.
