Habis Caves (anciently known as Şikefta Habis), located within the borders of Bozok Village, is a multi-storey rock settlement used as a retreat and shelter by Christian monks during the Roman and Byzantine periods. There are dozens of rooms, cisterns, secret passages and prayer cells carved into the limestone rocks. Local legends tell that these caves sheltered the entire village population for months during wars and were connected to the castles through secret underground roads.
