Nevşehir Martyrs Park and Monument
About & Visitor Guide
History and General Information / Local Legends and Folklore Nevşehir Martyrs Park and Monument was built to keep alive the cherished memory of the heroic people of Nevşehir who sacrificed their lives for the indivisible integrity of the homeland and the independence of the nation, from the Gallipoli Wars to the War of Independence, from our martyrs in the fight against terrorism to the July 15 Democracy martyrs. The July 15 Homeland Martyrs Monument and martyr inscriptions rising within the park are crowned with the Turkish flag with crescent and star on marble bases. Among the local people, the belief that the spiritual spirit of the heroes who drank the sherbet of martyrdom during the duty of the homeland always protects the skies and the city of Cappadocia is kept alive with deep loyalty and dignity.
