Sultan II. Saathane Tower and the historical square around it, built by a Belgian engineer in 1887 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Abdulhamid Khan's accession to the throne, are the heart of Samsun's Ottoman trade and cultural memory. Square; It is surrounded by the centuries-old Taşhan, Healing Bath and Süleyman Pasha Madrasa. It is a historical center where local merchants and craftsmen have kept track of time from this tower for centuries and where the Ahi tradition is kept alive.
