  • •Mir Yakup Tomb, located in Siirt Central Gökçebağ Town, is the sacred place where His Holiness Mir Yakup, one of the most respected friends and saints of God in the region, is buried.
  • •It is a historical lodge center that has been visited for centuries by believers from Siirt and surrounding provinces to seek healing for their illnesses, a cure for their troubles and to find spiritual peace.
  • •In folk narratives, it is said that during his lifetime, Mir Yakup was a great person with miracles who fed the caravans, gave food to the poor, and caused rains of abundance with his prayers in times of drought. Geographical Structure, Altitude and Natural Features
  • •The altitude is approximately 830 meters above sea level. It is located on the Gökçebağ hills between Siirt and Kurtalan, in the middle of vineyards and pistachio gardens.
  • •It is located on a spacious and windy hill plain surrounded by large shady mulberry and oak trees.

  • •Spiritual Visit and Prayer Etiquette: The threshold of the tomb should be approached with respect, superstitious practices such as tying cloth and lighting candles should be avoided, and Fatiha and Yasin-i Sharif should be recited only for the sake of Allah.
  • •Documentary & Respectful Shooting:Care should be taken for the privacy of those who worship inside the tomb, and simple and respectful general plan photographs should be preferred.
  • •Important Commemoration Days:In the spring and autumn months, there is intense participation of visitors from the surrounding villages for Hıdırellez and prayers of gratitude.
  • •Local Spiritual Tradition:Visitors receive blessings by sharing the ashure, halva and tandoori bread they bring with other guests in the tomb garden.
