  • •Siirt Garrison Martyrdom is the eternal resting place of the heroic Turkish soldiers and police members who sacrificed their lives for the unity of the country and the peace of Southeastern Anatolia.
  • •In the martyrs' cemetery area, the graves of the veterans of the War of Independence and hundreds of heroes who reached the level of martyrdom in the anti-terrorism operations in the region and the central monumental Martyrs' Monument rise.
  • •This sacred area, which symbolizes Siirt's identity as the land of ancient saints and martyrs in the memory of the local people, is a national and spiritual center of loyalty visited by thousands of citizens with prayers on every holiday and commemoration day.   • •The altitude is approximately 910 meters above sea level. It is located on the airy and high slopes of Siirt city center, in the tranquility of cypress and pine trees.
  • •Located at the foothills of the Southeastern Taurus Mountains, the area has a spacious plateau topography surrounded by moisture-free and clear skies.

  • •Entrance Fee:Visiting the Martyrs' Cemetery is completely free and open to the public.
  • •Visiting Hours and Days:It is open to visitors 7 days a week between 08:00 - 18:30.

  • •Spiritual Visit and Prayer Etiquette: One should not speak loudly between graves, mobile phones should be silenced, and the souls of the martyrs should be visited in spiritual dignity with Fatiha and prayers.
  • •Documentary & Respectful Shooting:Flashy and entertaining selfies at the martyrs' cemetery should be strictly avoided, only the monument and the tags of the heroes who died for the sake of the homeland should be respectfully photographed.
  • •Important Commemoration Days:Official state and public commemoration ceremonies are held on 18 March Çanakkale Victory and Martyrs' Memorial Day and 15 July Democracy and National Unity Day.
  • •Local Spiritual Tradition:On Fridays and holy nights, visitors sprinkle rose water and offer halva and sugar as a blessing.
