  • •Historical Cumhuriyet Mosque, one of the oldest places of worship in Siirt, is popularly known as 'Hıdrü'l-Ahdar Mosque' and its roots date back to the Seljuk and Artuklu periods.
  • •According to the rumor, since it is believed that Hızır Aleyhisselam honored this place and prayed, the mosque was named Hıdrü'l-Ahdar, which is a symbol of greenery and vitality.
  • •The mosque, built with typical Siirt traditional cas mortar and rubble stone masonry, is a holy meeting point where prayers have been accepted on holy nights and morning prayers for centuries. Geographical Structure, Altitude and Natural Features
  • •The altitude is approximately 890 meters above sea level. It is located in the historical Ulus District of Siirt old city center, among traditional cas houses and narrow sabat streets.
