Of Government Square and Ataturk Park

History and General Information / Local Legends and Folklore Of Government Square is the administrative, cultural and social center of the district, crowned with the Republic. The magnificent Ataturk Monument and Martyrs' Monument rising in the square keep alive the memory of the heroes of Oflu who showed epic resistance against the 1916 Russian occupation and died for independence.
