•The mosque, built of cut stone by Halil Ağa, the Sergeant Major of the Çapanoğulları dynasty, in 1800, is famous for its wooden ceiling core and hand-carved decorations.

•The prayer hall supported by wooden poles and the wall paintings with floral motifs in the Baroque-Rococo style are among the most outstanding examples of Anatolian stone mosque architecture of the late Ottoman period.

•Local narratives say that Halil Agha built this mosque with the spoils he earned after returning from the campaign and dedicated it to the worship of the people. Geographical Structure, Altitude and Natural Features
