  • •It is a historical wooden place of worship built in the forest villages of the Western Black Sea region in the 19th century by simply interlocking oak and chestnut logs (chandi technique) without using nails.
  • •It is a rare masterpiece of traditional architecture that has preserved its naturalness for centuries with its wooden carved ceiling core, handcrafted wooden pulpit and wooden poles.
  • •According to local narratives, it is rumored that wood craftsmen from Devrek cut down the trees they selected from the forest with prayers and interlocked the logs with the kundekari method without hammering a single metal nail. Geographical Structure, Altitude and Natural Features
  • •The altitude is approximately 340 meters above sea level. It is located within the forest texture, on the green foothills overlooking the Devrek Stream valley.
  • •It is in a cool valley topography with plenty of oxygen, surrounded by oak, hornbeam and beech forests.

  • •Rules, Safety and Stroller/Disabled Access: Must enter the mosque without shoes; Fire and smoking are strictly prohibited due to fire risk. The ground floor is flat and wheelchair accessible.
